CANADA DAY IN THE PARK

2016 Event

Our event partners were the Gloucester Recreational Development Organisation, Safer Roads Ottawa, Ottawa Fire Services, Hydro Ottawa & Eastern Ottawa Resource Center.

We hosted a decorate your bike for safety tent, face painting, firetruck and more! There was also a fundraiser pizza lunch! 

It was a great community event and we thank everyone for being a part of it.

Tuesday, July 1, 2014, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Meadowbrook Park
Throughout the day: sand play, art sale by Katoo, balloons from CIBC Mortgage Broker Carl Salter, Baby/Toddler garden from Global Child Care Services.

11:00 AM - 2:00 PM: face-painting with Julie; arts & crafts with Cathy
11:30 AM: stories and circle time with Helen
12:00 PM: meet & greet with MPP Madeleine Meilleur 
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM: visit from Ottawa Fire Services (firetruck!)
12:30 PM - visit from Ottawa Police Community Constables (inspect a police cruiser close up)  
12:00 PM-2:00: fundraising BBQ (service by Enbridge): hotdogs, corn, watermelon and other delicious refreshments
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Wiggle Yum cupcake and lemonade stand, with cupcake decorating demo/workshop
1:40 PM: meet & greet with City Councillor Tim Tierney & ice cream 
2:00 PM: scheduled meet & greet with MP Royal Galipeau cancelled due to Environment Canada tornado warning
